Happy Day

I've been taught that when things happens and they cause me to laugh or smile, that means I'm happy. But what happen when the day is happy? How do you even picture a laughing or smiling day? If someone ask me what face does the day put on? I'd say a straight face because only what happens to a man each day can describe it. A hectic day, a sad day, a busy day and so on. But what can make a day happy?    I believe the experience of everyone each day isn't the same, so how the day looks is due to the state of mind of each person. If that's it, how can a day be happy for me? Simple, when you have joy within you , you will forget about what is bad/sad about the day and call it a good/happy day. This can only be achieved in the presence of joy and this state doesn't mean that there are no bad situations or circumstances, it means that those things don't determine your happiness but because you have a source that joy springs from which is Christ J...

THE BIG DAY

The reason for salvation, sanctification, justification is to be glorified(Romans 8:30). The essence of Christianity is to make it to the place where Christ promised us(John 14:2). Why would anyone want to undergo these processes just to end up in hell?    We enjoy everything in Christ and often times we forget about our happy ending. Let's remember that the one who starts something isn't as important as the person who finishes it. Don't lose focus on what is important all in the name of enjoying grace. Grace is the ability to do the right thing to please God not to say you're covered despite your secret sins(Romans 6:1-2). Grace doesn't mean there won't be challenges either, but the ability to overcome them (John 16:33).    There will always be tests of faith every now and then. Let's wait upon the Lord, never to be discouraged (James 1:12), but hold on fast to the faith that you've received through Christ Jesus. He never said it would be easy, but...

A LIFE OF PRAYER

The act of giving thanks to God and asking something from Him in prayer. It's a vital ingredient in the life of a Christian. As we know that living as a Christian requires us to pattern our lives in the way of Christ. It's a continuous activity that should never stop or limited to one area of our lives.    The bible sayp Pray Without Ceasing(1 Thessalonians 5:17) Pray until something happen. We can't be believers and be mute. Though we have been told to behave like doves but we must be radical in times of prayer. There is no place you can get what you can't ask from God, and if you eventually get what looks like it, its without peace( Proverbs 10:22).    When Paul the apostle was writing to the church in Ephesus about the whole amour of God, he told them never to stop praying (Ephesians 6:18). How can you have such a great amour and still need prayers? It's very necessary.      Our Lord Jesus Christ was teaching His disciples t...

SEEK

Trying to find something is a definite way of getting it - Matthew 7:7b. This principle goes for everything anyone wants. When you seek money, fame, respect, and so on, it will be found!    When we seek spiritual things, we will find them too. Seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness... (Matthew 6:33) was an instruction given by our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. The kingdom of God has so many things in it. All that you need is right there in the kingdom, but you must apply faith by seeking.   There is no kingdom without w king. The KING of kings is our God who owns the entire empire. So seek Him while He is near and you will find Him (Isaiah 55:9). When you seek Him and His kingdom, things that the world seeks will look for you.    One thing that you must seek is COUNSEL (Proverbs 15:22). Though we are Christians, but the Lord had created us for one another. He has made someone else's weakness another's strength. When you have ...

THE DOING GRACE

No matter how good the grammar used in qualifying LOVE, It isn't all therein. It's majorly about putting others first. Love is sacrifice . When the Lord loved us He GAVE His son (John 3:16), that is LOVE! Can you imagine you giving your most desirable asset to a total stranger who doesn't even care about you or your gift (1 John 4:9)?     The word LOVE has so many things in it that make it the only thing that holds all things. Love isn't a function of what you think or how you feel . It is about what and how you DO what you do . When what you call Love isn't DOING , then it might probably be any other thing.    We must know that Love can't be defined. Why? The simple answer is that God is LOVE. Someone might want to ask how must we love? I'd love to inform you that there certain things that can't be done without the Holy Spirit (1 John 4:12-13).    You can be successful, happy, and so on due to principles you've applied, but definitely not ...

SACRIFICE TO GOD

Sacrifice is the act of giving up something that you want to keep. The fact that you want to keep it makes it a difficult task to do. To give something to a man, one is sure that he might get it back but when it involves God, that is the time we'll remember that we can't see Him, and how can we get it back?    The good news is that He will give you back in hundred folds (Matthew 19:29). Before we think God will take all we have, do we know what the Lord desires as His sacrifice is? What can you give God that will be equal to His grace? Think deep and ask yourself what do I have that He hasn't given me? What's the Lord's sacrifice?     The sacrifice in which the Lord delights in is A BROKEN SPIRIT . A broken spirit is further divided into two - a broken and contrite heart (psalm 51:17). No matter how hard it is to give a sacrifice, it isn't as hard as this because its against the flesh. This broken spirit is against the spirit of pride. ...

MAN'S DUTY

A man has three vital parts - the spirit, soul and body. Each part is necessary for proper functioning. When the Lord speaks, things comes to life (Genesis 1:3). We are the reflection of the Almighty God who is spirit (Genesis 1:26&27), which have the mind for reasoning and emotions (soul),and a container to live on this planet (the body) Genesis 2:7.    Each part has it's function. The man created by God is spiritual like Himself, but to the showing forth of His glory and represent Him on earth , He needed to give him a body to function. We know the function of the soul and body, but what is the function of the spirit man?    Everything the Lord created was for His pleasure (Revelation 4:11). Each creation show forth His Greatness and Majesty, so the sole aim of man creation is to WORSHIP Him. This is the function of the spirit which the soul and body can't perform, it can only be done by the spirit.     The body can't do the wo...

FAITH

We've learned that as Christians, we are to live by faith because we have been justified and we are called the "JUST" because Jesus Christ stood in our place in death and resurrected that we might take His place in life.   We have been told so many things about FAITH. It comprises of so many things when broken into pieces but the scripture has a perfect definition for it. It says "faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen" ( Hebrews 11:1 KJV).    When we talk about substance and evidence which are the basic ingredients in the faith definition. Substance is a thing already in existence and evidence is the visible sign of something. Faith simply means holding on to things though not physically seen but in existence.    Faith can be divided into parts. We have the SEEING FAITH that has to do with your imaginations, what we see happening and how we want it to happen. Pictures of the end result of that particular issu...

PERCEIVING GRACE

If you aren't thirsty, I don't know think there is a need to drink water. But when you see a need to drink water regularly, you get thirsty. You can't want anything until you see the need for it.   When food and water is scarce, we will develop deficiencies . In a situation where there's famine and drought and someone offers to give food and water for free. Won't people rush towards the person, no matter how far he/she is?    But we are in a time and era where people who need water and food aren't thirty and hungry. The Lord offers us everything our spirit man needs to grow, but surprisingly we reject Him.    How would you feel, if you gave someone something from your heart and he/she rejects it? (If you aren't selfish or having a bias mind in the first place), you will feel bad. Even the Lord does. He gave a call and we think it wasn't for us.    In Isaiah 55:1 He said "let  everyone that is thirsty, come he to the waters, and he...

Get Understanding

What haven't we heard of? Is it about the Lord's faithfulness, mercy, loving-kindness, grace, righteousness, peace, joy, strength, or salvation? We heard everything over and over again, but we can't point at it's working experience and we wonder why?    All through the ages, the Lord is ever the same. He's not like us, that deceives, frustrate opportunities, proud, lie and change our standards to please others and to expect a reward in return. He's integrity is certain (Numbers 23:19).   I would have loved to share some things with you, but what about the ones we've learned, a long time ago. We spend time to acquire knowledge, but we spend little or no time to explore it.    If we spend the quality of time on getting understand, like we do for knowledge, wisdom would have been common in the kingdom. It is saddening to see people who are eager to know "how" without the "why".    Wisdom is the application of "how", its pos...

WHAT'S THE LORD SAYING...

We make people the dictators of our behavior. You would like to ask in what way? Don't stress yourself about how that is possible. Take a look at your face in the mirror and see your reaction each time someone tells you how he or she feels about you.    We have made happiness the best instead of joy. Happiness happens because of something while joy doesn't have a reason, it's just a flow of continuous happiness even in the midst of sorrows (psalms 42:5).    We call ourselves Christians, but there is no difference between us and the people in the world. What we gain in Christ is righteousness, peace, and joy in the holy ghost ( Romans 14:17); and this is the kingdom of God that is been placed in us(Luke 17:21).    No matter what your past looks like when you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you receive the righteousness of God which means you're made right with God. In all situations, troubles, and circumstances, peace will alway...

...Things to come

Things that happened in the past are filled with good and bad experiences. When the Lord wants to take you to the next level, he will always encourage you to put behind everything that has happened.    The encouragement makes you see what you've labored and achieved as a little thing compared to what the Lord is bringing your way. How long will you strive to get to another level, when the Lord is ready to take you there? He only needs your FAITH.    When you are ungrateful, the Lord calls to your remembrance all the things He's done for you. When you see everything bad about your life and situations, you can't point a finger at what the Lord is doing and it's like He's left you to suffer, you won't be able to get the best for yourself.    When you spend more time in prayer to tell God what u don't want, why can't you decide to change your situation by telling what you desire? He can hear you and He knows all, you only need to ask and it shal...

A LIFE of CHRIST...

Apart from living for Christ, we must live as Christ. The character of a true Christian is in line with that of our Lord Jesus Christ. We live in a world where anybody can claim Christianity as a religion without understanding what it really entails.    Packing a bicycle at the airport doesn't make it a plane, neither will going to church make you a true Christian. Though Jesus is the light of the world, but he has empowered us to be lights too (Matthew 5:16).    We are to shine that the Lord be glorified through our good works. People of questionable characters claim to be Christians. There are tares amidst the crop, and we even find it difficult to differentiate because the tares are more than the crop.    Our Lord's first teaching after he had fasted 40 days and nights was THE BEATITUDE (Matthew 5:2-11). How many people are following this teaching? He taught about what a Christian behavior must look like. There are rewards for the charac...

The POWER of MEDITATION

In the body of Christ, there are different characters(individual) and ministries( parts of the church). This makes meditation very important. Meditation to some people is a Sunday to Sunday duty while some take it as an everyday pill. Some just read for the fun of it, to fulfill the routine of quiet time without getting the treasures out of it or to get knowledge for reasons best known to them without understanding.    To meditate means to contemplate on a particular subject. It's most of the time on what has been seen or read. The Lord commanded Joshua never to let the book of the law depart from his mouth, but he should meditate therein day and night...(Joshua 1:8).    I wonder why the Lord would make this a commandment. Then I realize that it's for a prosperous way and good success in all we do. The scriptures weren't written for condemnation but was written through the help of the Holy spirit to reproof, correct, instruct, and to give sound doctrin...

The LIFE we LIVE

So many people always think that the LIFE that we Christians refer to is a kind of physical stuff. Some think we are a fetish. Some think we are unreasonable. Even some members of the religion sees a genuine born again Christian and call them the " over spiritual " set of people in the religious setting.     One thing that is important is that the part of been born again is so spiritual and it makes the gift of ETERNAL LIFE spiritual too. This life doesn't mean we won't die physically, but we have an assurance that we will resurrect with our Lord Jesus Christ.    A genuine Christian isn't a religious man, but a spiritual man that has been dead to the works of the flesh which are lustful desires and pride of this world. He's been changed from a man of reasoning to a man of FAITH by the HOLY SPIRIT. The HOLY Spirit helps us to live a life that pleases God the Father. The physical death is just dropping the dusty body and a pathway to see the FATHER ...

LOVE and LIFE

Amazing Love is the award-winning action of our God. He showed mankind Love and never expected anything in return. When we believe His love, He then add another advantage to it by giving us eternal life in return.    We live in a world where love has been defined to be so many things like romance, crush, admire, sex, and so on has been painted to people as real love. But the truth is that all those definitions (no matter good they sound) isn't LOVE'S definition.    The question of Love isn't of "what" alone, but " WHO" is also involved. The reason has been that it's not just an act, but there is a personality behind the act. Our God is Love Himself. And He also showed us the act by first expressing Himself.    He expressed Himself by sacrificing His son for the sake of mankind. So that those who believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will be rewarded the more by giving again a way patterned after His, which is eternal life (J...

CHRISTIANITY and TRADITION.

Christianity is the way of life of some set of people having their lives patterned after the steps of Christ Jesus. Tradition is a belief or way of doing things for a very long time.    As Christians, it shouldn't be mentioned among us that we practice tradition in any way. Our way of life is totally different from whatever we use to be. I've heard people said " this is who I am and no one can change me" or "this is who we in our family"    That isn't who you are but who you chose to be! Don't support your ways by tradition, rather according to what God says concerning your act. Your act might have led you right one time in the past, but it doesn't mean that is the end to what you know.    Being a Christian is an act of dropping your old ways and constant repentance. There is always more to every revelation you have. The existence by which you understand things is another person's starting point.   The Pharisees, priests, and Sadducee...

DESTINED TO BE.

In the midst of so many people in a group, there is always a need for someone to take the lead. Among those that are of the same quality, there is always a person who is outstanding. Been outstanding doesn't mean the person has the qualifications, but there is a place of favor, Love, and mercy which is GRACE .    If the world was to give anyone Love, favour, and mercy, one day the person must have to pay back. But when God shows His, it's everlasting. That is the reason why we Christians must understand that we aren't just a coincidence, but predestined set of people selected by grace to show forth God praises.    There is a purpose of your calling, it depends on your readiness. You aren't called out of so many people for nothing but you are out of to effect a change in something. To every call, there is a purpose for it.    Our call to salvation is to make the world know there is a God who can make you a sign and a wonder. Let's take a loo...

INGREDIENT OF THE GOSPEL

Gospel is good news to the people but can only be spread when those assigned to share it already know and have the important things involved in the work. There is work to do on the part of those giving and also the receiver. Christians are assigned to preach the gospel. (Matthew 28: 19).     The message of our Lord Jesus Christ is a call to salvation because He came to save mankind. While He was doing His earthly ministry, He PREACHED AND ACTED LOVE. We are witnesses of who He is and His representative. The expected attribute in we Christians is LOVE IN EVERYTHING including preaching the gospel.    The message of the cross is known to people but not all believe. Only those that believe what they know can fully understand who our Lord really is. Knowledge isn't just enough. The message of salvation incomplete without FAITH . The giver gives in Love and the receiver receives in Faith.    Christ gave Himself in Love and we receive salvation by ...

SEED AND FRUIT

Before any harvest, there was a planting process. Harvesting happens because there are fruits while the planting process starts due to the availability of seeds. There is no productivity without seeds and fruits .     The most important thing about any fruit is that a seed comes first. The seed undergoes a process from germination to the production of fruits. The process takes TIME but it is not for the seed to grow itself, it must be nourished with water in the soil from time to time.    In the production of animals, sperm must be planted in the womb and as time passes by another offspring comes to life. In Man, it's called the fruit of the womb. Why? Its because a seed was " planted " by the man in the woman's womb and with time a fetus becomes a fully grown baby.    The church is the bride to our Lord Jesus Christ. We are His body and individually, we are members of that body. The Lord expects us to possess the fruit of the spirit....

IT ISN'T YOURS

When we get to a dead-end, we bring out hammers, chisels, and other tools that we think should break the wall. We tend to forget how we got there and what brought us there. No amount of tools we use, the walls are always stronger than our power at that moment.    When these tools are of no effect, then, we turn to the best Instrument to pull down the stronghold. Why then the waste of energy when we have the best of instruments that require little or no work?    You might be wondering what those tools are. They are tools that we often use like fear , worries, anxiety, doubts, and so on. We easily forget the best which is THE WORD OF THE LORD . We use human power to try to solve or figure out the problem instead of trusting in the word of God.    The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual to the pulling down of strong holds ( 2nd Corinthians 10:4). According to Ephesians 6:17, we know that the sword of the spirit is ...

FAITHLESSNESS

If you are a man who also has plan B, you will have a problem with the Lord. You pray for hours hammering on the same, but faith can't be found in you. You've just wasted a lot of time because you won't receive anything (James 1:6-7).    During Jesus Christ's earthly ministry, He talked about a persistent widow that can't just stop disturbing a judge because she believed him. After the whole parable and the explanation, He asked if the SON OF MAN will find FAITH when He comes.    I'm afraid to answer this question myself because even when you gain your stand, people have a way of killing your spirit. Not believing is easier than having faith because you are certain that if this principle doesn't work another will. No trust in the Lord your God.    Faithlessness is a disease that has eaten deep into the body of Christ and has rendered it weak. The message of FAITH is for the end-time generation which is NOW. There is no better time. Than any...

...a SON or a SERVANT

When a man is wealthy he tends to have many people around to help in the taking care of the house while he is focus on the job that gives them their salary. Eventually he gets married and gave birth to a boy.    The little boy of course is the heir to the man, yet he will be restricted to some things just like the people that works in the house. Yes, he is the man's son and a junior boss in that house. Yet in the sight of his father he's not different from the house workers.    A son isn't different from a servant, though he's the heir, they are equal as long as he's still a child (Galatians 4:1). We are like that when we believe in the Lord and we become born again. We are like babies to Him, we can't do or understand much. But someone who is a servant would have understood the master and always do whatever he says.    When the child becomes an adult, he would have understood his father and will be ready to take over his father's work. In t...
