Thou Sluggard...

A person who is habitually lazy is known as a sluggard. Can u imagine that you are given a work that involves that you must have a partner, then you find out that the other person isn't active(not because he doesn't have strength, but he doesn't like working hard) when the work had started already?  Even if you try to cover up for the work by overworking yourself, you either end the work late or get sick after the work. Why would anyone want to work with a lazy man? But sometimes that man doesn't even know he's lazy. He needs someone to tell him.  Until an external force acts on a resting body, it will enjoy and believe that's the best place and situation is his present state. In the case of a lazy man, he doesn't even see the reason to work or put things together.  The Lord has advice and a command for the sluggard. He is saying  You lazy fool, look at an ant.  Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two "(Proverbs 6:6 MSG). An ant i...

Possessing or positioning

The condition of having or owning something is called a possession. When a man buys, got, or steal something, so far it has changed hands from one person to the other (whether legal or illegal), wherever that thing is found is a possession to whoever claims it. Position on the other hand is a place where someone or something should be. " Should " in the definition shows that its an expected place. People have been finding a way to fit in so many places, but just because you fit somewhere doesn't mean that it is your place. Finding your place has to do with who you are first. In the process of knowing who you are, you will get to know what you are meant to do and where you are supposed to be. When you understand who you are, then you can take your place and have what you want. We have confused positioning to possessing things. They are two different things as defined above but could be related. When the positioning is right, the possession is given....

The Legacy Of Our Lineage

A legacy is defined as something that happens in the past or comes from someone in the past. Something that can also be called an inheritance or birthright that has become a generational one. It could be a property, money, disease, or a specific way of life. Just like legacy has been defined above, it can be passed down. The passing down of those things to the people of the next generation of the same bloodline or family. The people who are in someone's family in past times are called lineage . The legacy of "our" lineage means there is a group of people involved in this kind of bloodline. And we are talking about nobody but the Abrahamic lineage . This is a special kind of lineage( a chosen generation, a peculiar people that became a holy nation) that has been set apart from the foundation of the world to show forth the praises of Him that always call things and people out of darkness into His marvelous light. The man Abraham was testified about b...

Drop that mallet!

Criticism is the order of the day. Many people want to say something they believe is not normal. Christians criticizing other's faith because they " think " they are doing too much than expected. They not only spot how different people are, but also condemn how they pursue after heavenly goals and principles.  As a matter of fact, they make them look and feel like nerds and freaks, calling them sorts of names like the over-hyped Christians and so on forgetting that some of these people are humans too. They have emotions and thereby causing some to fall from the Christian path or make their journey/race a slow one. One thing that we must know as Christian is we are not to condemn anyone. Christ never condemn anyone, in fact His birth, death and resurrection were never to do so, but to create a godly sorrow that works repentance towards God in the heart of men(2 Corinthians 7:10). So if you think you are "very" righteous (than Christ Jesus) to b...

Gasping Out?

The race is a marathon. Why should you give up now? The journey is far dear. I want to encourage people that are running the race faithfully, fighting the good fight of faith and holding on to the testimony of Christ they have received, that the Lord is for and with you. Don't gasp out now. Don't give up.  Those that run, do it to gain something. They pursue and strife to get what others also want. So giving up isn't a choice for them, but they must press the more. And Paul the apostle said:   You've all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You're after one that's gold eternally.  I don't know about you, but I'm running hard for the finish line. I'm giving it everything I've got. No sloppy living for me! I'm staying alert and in top condition .( 1 Corinthians 9:24-26; MSG) If everything is hard...

Fools for Christ

The word fool means a person who lacks good sense or judgment. Christ as the person who these people have the status "fool" for, is the wisdom of God. How can some set of people be a fool for the wisdom of God?    Paul wrote in his letter to the Corinthian church (1Corinthians 4:10; KJV), and he called the apostles fools for the sake of Christ to build the church to a point where they start to reign. They were the misfit of their time and they understood why it had to be that way, yet called fools. The fools don't call themselves fools, because in the first instance they don't know or understand that their thought and life pattern is below standard. But for a person to acknowledge that he is a fool, shows that he understands that he's a misfit, but for a purpose. The interesting thing is that the wise always consider themselves fools. You know why? It's so that they can learn from fellow wise men and grow more. They are always reachable and never...
