Poor in Spirit

Can you imagine when a boy who can't even feed himself without his parents, decides to stand alone because he thinks he's got all it takes to become the head of a family? You know he has set himself up for troubles.

When the devil thought that he can set his throne above God's, he found himself in far below expectations. Can you imagine what and how a creation can do and live without the creator? Miserable is an understatement.

As much as an invention is dependent on the manufacturer. So is everything made by God is structured to survive in Him. God is LIFE and only Him can supply it, anything outside Him is DEATH!!!

I know we must have come across the scriptural verse that talked about "poor in spirit"-(Matthew 5:3). This is the genetic makeup of man. Finding sources outside of God will cause the person to be miserable.

There are times when we feel we've tried all we can to have a thing and we find ourselves at the end of the road and it looks like that's the end, but those that put their trust in God will be lifted! It has happened over and over again.

When all efforts fail, and it seems like God isn't there. Believe this " God is right there". You just have to lift up your eye of FAITH to see the King right in the middle of it all.

When you can do nothing outside the Holy Spirit, you are poor in spirit, and until you get to this point, the kingdom of heaven isn't yours. Your poverty means dependency, hope and faith in God.

Your belief in Christ gives you the power to be a child and access to be led by the Spirit of God. So how long will you keep trying to do and get things by yourself (that's if you do), when you can always connect to the source for the best?

You are God sufficient not self-sufficient.  Don't wear yourself out trying to figure things out, look at the King in Faith and He will carry you Himself.

SHALOM!!!

You Are Mary

The first Mary was not the only lady named MARY which was recorded in the Bible is found in the new testament. She was "a virgin", which means she wasn't the only one who was a virgin in her time, but she found favor with God and was chosen to bear the Holy seed of God. Mary, the highly favored, blessed among women and the Lord was with her. That was how she was seen by the Lord. Her assignment was to carry the seed of God, deliver a son, and He shall save His people, rule them and His kingdom is forever. Her question wasn't what's in it for me? It was HOW? What's the plan? The answer was the Holy Spirit will come upon you, the power of the Highest hover over you. Therefore, the child you bring to birth will be called Holy, Son of God. It's all planned by God, yours is to align. You are Mary, but whose seed are you carrying? Definitely not Christ Jesus. But what result will the seed you are carrying bring? Are you aligned to be chosen? Are you recept...

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

God's or Abraham's?

The moment the word "children" appears, what comes to mind most the time is the result or outcome of a process. Especially when the psalmist was describing children in Psalms 127:3-5. My eyes were open to seeing results as children. Definitely, children have fathers. Let not go into defining children ( you can always read my post on CHILDREN), But my concern is that sometimes we (Christians) are referred to as Abraham's offspring and at the same time, we are called the children of God. How are we children of God and also Abraham's? It is possible that we are the offspring of both God and Abraham (His friend). We are considered as Abraham's offspring when we believe (Galatians 3:6-8), because the first to exercise Faith in God was Abraham and we are called his children because we are doing exactly what he did which was counted to him as righteousness(John 8:39) - FAITH . So we (believers) are the re-produced version(children) of the Father of Faith - Abraham...
