Some studies have shown that without the presence of the sun, most plants would die and other living creatures including man could freeze to death. This shows how important the sun is to the Earth. Photosynthesis for example is the process of plants receiving energy from the radiation of the sun to produce the chemical compounds necessary for growth and survival.
