New Season

Oh! Teach us to live well! Teach us to live wisely and well! (Psalms 90:12;MSG). So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom (Psalms 90:12; KJV). Without an old, they can't be anything new. We celebrate a new year because there was an old one. We also went through thick and thin in our previous phase. But thank God we are here now. In this new season, I want to share what I consider needful for the journey ahead. First and foremost, thanksgiving. Be grateful to God for everything in your life and appreciate the people in your life that keep showing up. They don't have to, but they are there for you.  Be positive: One thing 2020 has taught and reiterated is that tough times don't last, tough people, do. How do you intend to survive if you are a pessimist? Try being an optimist person this year and your world will revolve in a new direction. It take a positive heart to be thankful. Have courage. A lot of people are like me - knowing wh...

Wisdom & Money

An argument is not necessary on this seeing that both are defenses, but one can succeed without the other–wisdom and maintain excellence.  Ecclesiastes 7: 11-12— Wisdom is better when it's paired with money, Especially if you get both while you're still living. Double protection: wisdom and wealth! Plus this bonus: Wisdom energizes its owner (MSG). A rich fool can enjoy the luxury of his palace and believe he has access to things and places because money answers all things. But he lacks the understanding that money has wings and can take flight at any time. In fact overnight. Ask Job and you will be amazed. He might believe that he can acquire anything, but just as money can take flight, the things it can get will follow suit. So is it fame, connections, beauty, houses, clothes, food, bed, and everything that can be seen? Little does the owner knows that things that can be seen are temporary. But eternity lies in the unseen and unheard. So, wisdom can be quiet and calm stayi...

The Relativity Of Normal

The same event could mean different things to different people. Our normal varies. Normal is a generally accepted ideology of history and people. Normal is ordinary, typical, regular, common, conventional, usual, traditional, etc. A life of the average (just fine) for some people. For some, normal is the progressive life of becoming the best version of oneself for some people. It is a balanced and diversified life where God is the core and definition. Who defines your normal? There are two types of living - the natural and supernatural. One seems normal and abnormal to each subscriber. Whose definition will you agree with? It is normal to live by your senses and reasonings - everybody does that. Acting and reacting to the things and situations the way you have learned over time to be true to you. An Abnormal is to live like a wind - Led by the Spirit of God and living by faith. But the former is someone's wisdom while the latter is foolishness. Which normal do you prefer?...

Caught In The Middle

Everybody that has ever done something impactful has been caught in the middle of something. There is always a history, story, or tradition that they believe and was convinced that it's not meant to be this way and they desire to cause a change in history. For the sake of the future, they did what they had to do in their time - while they are still alive and able. They were hated for it. They suffered for it, but in the end, they became legacies. For instance, for faith to become a legacy, Abraham caused the change. He was in the middle of traditionalists (idol worshippers) but had to come to become a standard of Faith. What will you be a standard of? What "middle" are you caught in? Man will always evolve. The reason why anything changes is because someone took upon him/herself to effect the alteration. Change is constant because man is involved. Due to the uncertainty and diversity found among men, anything can change at any time. You are not where you are by mi...

Poor in Spirit

Can you imagine when a boy who can't even feed himself without his parents, decides to stand alone because he thinks he's got all it takes to become the head of a family? You know he has set himself up for troubles.  When the devil thought that he can set his throne above God's, he found himself in far below expectations. Can you imagine what and how a creation can do and live without the creator? Miserable is an understatement. As much as an invention is dependent on the manufacturer. So is everything made by God is structured to survive in Him. God is LIFE and only Him can supply it, anything outside Him is DEATH!!!  I know we must have come across the scriptural verse that talked about "poor in spirit"-(Matthew 5:3). This is the genetic makeup of man. Finding sources outside of God will cause the person to be miserable.  There are times when we feel we've tried all we can to have a thing and we find ourselves at the end of the road and it l...

Fools for Christ

The word fool means a person who lacks good sense or judgment. Christ as the person who these people have the status "fool" for, is the wisdom of God. How can some set of people be a fool for the wisdom of God?    Paul wrote in his letter to the Corinthian church (1Corinthians 4:10; KJV), and he called the apostles fools for the sake of Christ to build the church to a point where they start to reign. They were the misfit of their time and they understood why it had to be that way, yet called fools. The fools don't call themselves fools, because in the first instance they don't know or understand that their thought and life pattern is below standard. But for a person to acknowledge that he is a fool, shows that he understands that he's a misfit, but for a purpose. The interesting thing is that the wise always consider themselves fools. You know why? It's so that they can learn from fellow wise men and grow more. They are always reachable and never...

Lesson In All Things

Learning isn't limited to a gathering of people with a tutor, but an experience that leaves a mark of influence. To learn means to gain knowledge or skill by studying, practicing, being taught or experiencing something. A lesson is a section where something is being taught and learned. It, therefore, means that there must be a teacher and a student. Life is a teacher. It teaches anyone who cares to listen and have wisdom. We are in the habit of running each day the same way and the days turn to weeks, weeks to months and later to years. We forget to pause, pay attention to life and absorb wisdom to live. Some of us have experienced but haven't gotten the lessons out of some. Wisdom is not measured by age or level of exposure or experience, but lessons got from our encounter with life. What did you learn as a child, teenager, adult, parent, businessperson, lawyer, pastor, teacher, etc? Whatever you do isn't as important as what are you learning? What will you pa...

Virginity with Dignity

What does dignity and virginity mean? How do they relate?  Dignity can be defined as the state worthy of esteem and respect, while virginity simply means a state of been pure to sexual intercourse. The combination of the two words in a sentence means the quality of being a virgin.    Let's move further by knowing the meaning of a virgin. A virgin is someone who hasn't involved in sexual intercourse. Someone might want to ask what does virginity have to do with Christianity? It has a lot to do with it.    A virgin also means someone who isn't married yet. In the kingdom of God we believe that a person who isn't married to anyone before should still be a Virgin. As Christian who had renounced the world must be virgins to Christ Jesus.    Virginity signifies purity, sacredness, and holiness . According to Matthew 25:1-12 , we are virgins in the eyes of Lord Jesus Christ - He's our husbandman. He made us holy and separated from the filthiness of t...
