Joy: The Immune System

Just like we physically have an immune system in our physical system, we also have one spiritually and that is Joy. And the way it can be compromised thereby we lose strength to go about day to day activities, so also can Joy be and we can lose spiritual strength to do the things of the spirit that please God.

You can lose joy if you choose the lies than the truth of God. It doesn't take too much to be knocked off your horse if your guard is loose. The devil hunts to and fro, just to see an opening where he can launch his attack. The attack is so subtle that you want to know it was an attack until you start to discover that I'm not me.

You know that you are a joyful person, but right now you're filled with anxiety and insecurities. You start questioning the promises of God if they are indeed true. That's it right there - symptoms of a weak or compromised immune system.

There is a loophole that has been spotted and filled with lies to gain access to steal, kill, and destroy your faith, hope, and promises by ultimately damaging your Joy. Nothing makes sense to you. Peace becomes a scares commodity.

But Glory be to God who has sealed us with the Holy Spirit, clothed us with the garment of praise, and anointed us with the oil of gladness. The Lord is interested in us being strong and well.

He makes the Holy Spirit help us to the understanding that we've lost something. He makes us see the hole because He's more than ready to restore. But we must first come to the consciousness that something is missing and we're longing to have it back. Then He takes over.

One way to get your Joy back is by Understanding and acknowledging what the Lord has done on Thanksgiving. Giving praises, hymns, and worship in spirit and truth. Acknowledging that you lost something due to carelessness and sincerely apologizing to your Father in Heaven. Praise and thank Him. He'll show up.

Another thing to do is consistently trusting the truth of the Lord keep your immune system strong to defend against any attacking lies. The truth you've known will keep you back on your feet when knocked down. The truth fortifies you to keep you going.

The beautiful thing about the immune system is that when compromised and it recovers, it forms a natural defense against that pattern of attack, except that the immune system is very weak.

The way people boost the immune system with a good diet and vitamins, Joy can also be boosted by feeding on the truth of the word of God and praying in the spirit. Have and build up your Faith - it is health and strength to the spirit.

Protect your immune system with the necessary precautions and when attacked and compromised, make haste to recover by applying faith - thanking God through it. It is dangerous to stay sad as a child of God.

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice!

Shalom!!!

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

Beyond the natural laws

Laws are laid down principles to help people to walk in certain directions. It is structured, firm, and sometimes rigid. Laws are expected to always follow the same pattern and anyone found doing differently will be accused and penalized. The scribes and Pharisees were always angry at the ways and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ because he wasn't doing the same as them yet have mind-blowing impacts better than theirs. He taught, people listened and yielded, but they force people to do it their own way (Mark 6:1-3).    They are ignorant that even though we have one big God, He is diverse in his ways and acts. No wonder people find it difficult to believe in the ways and characters of a child of God. It is a life led by the wind of God's Spirit because it's beyond the normal laws they believe in. Natural laws are principles generally accepted by people and passed down from one generation to another. We are Christians. We operate in the supernatural ...

Fear in the Process

There is an African proverb that says, "the demon you've known for a while is better than the angel you just met". As weird as this sounds, many people consciously or unconsciously act it out. This shows the hardness of people's hearts towards change. Change is constant, but it can be a very weird process and experience. The Israelites desired to go back to Egypt and continue the life of slavery and pain that they were used to than to be in the wilderness and uncertain of what the promised land looked like. Yours might not be as dramatic as the Exodus. It could be the Lord telling to you take steps about your finances by saving and sowing. Or leaving the life that is not accurate with the word and plan of God for your life. It could be for you to stop saying to yourself and others, "That's who I am and I can't change." Our change experiences are different. You know what the Lord is addressing in your life. And it may have raised questions of doubt li...
