Light in this context describes the weight of something compared to other things that can be involved in a situation. "Something light" is a term that can be used to illustrate anything small in quantity or by people's acceptable standards of measure.
It might be insignificant to you and the people around you are not helping matters. But the good news is that those trivial things are big enough for God to open up a great channel that other people can be blessed from. Remember the widow that Elisha ministered to (2 Kings 4:1-7)? She had a pot of oil, but her family was saved from slavery by it. Nothing or void is enough space for God to work and fill if you'll let Him.
Sometimes, people won't see problems and solutions the way you do because they are looking at it from the top and high places, and right from where you are (sometimes beneath the pyramid or a chain of command), you can spot the crack. Never underestimate or despise the power and grace you have because people tell you it's "light" or "small". You never know how great you can become with it.
The expert and professionals are dissecting a problem the usual and normal way with less creativity, previous strategies, and more sophisticated equipments. But all that could be needed could just be a stone and sling in the hand of a teenage boy and BOOM! — God's people have freedom and access to cover more grounds (1Samuel 17).
Sometimes, it could be the usual stuff of just doing the things you know how to do best and you are not the only one who can, but because the Lord is in and with you, excellence becomes your signature. Do you remember Daniel and the three Hebrew boys in Babylon (Daniel 1:7&18-20)?
They studied like everyone else. But when they were presented to the King, they have more wisdom and insight into situations not just from study (anybody can), but the breath of the Almighty makes the difference—soft.
This is the way God works, and most powerfully as it turns out. It's written,
I'll turn conventional wisdom on its head, I'll expose so-called experts as crackpots. So where can you find someone truly wise, truly educated, truly intelligent in this day and age? Hasn't God exposed it all as pretentious nonsense? Since the world in all its fancy wisdom never had a clue when it came to knowing God, God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world considered dumb—preaching, of all things!—to bring those who trust him into the way of salvation (1 Corinthians 1: 19-21; MSG).
The point here is to expose and encourage us to the truth that, one with God is a majority and the thing we consider little or small are the very things God can use to liberate you and the world around you.
Shalom!
Nice one
