Beyond You

You exist in this world for a reason. There is an impact you must make on earth. It wasn't a mistake you came in this time, you could have been put here before or after now. Why now? It's because you have a purpose.

You thought you were ordinary - just one of the billions on earth. You ask what difference does it make that you are here? Well, if you weren't that important, the devil won't be on your case. He attacks you constantly, bruise your heels, cloud your mind with hurtful thoughts that depress and make you lose hope that you can never be a voice in this world.

Well, that's a lie. God didn't plan that you will go through the things you went through. But if you went through it, He is using it for your good. Because all things work together for good to them that love God and called according to His purpose.

The things you went through were supposed to take you to a place beyond the consciousness of yourself. There is an agenda beyond you and you are part of God's plan to light up the world.

It is easy living the life you are used to, but it's better to enter into the recruitment plan of God. Where you are made beautiful and a wonder to behold. The way the Lord is not easy. He breaks down, and then structure the new life in you. That life is beyond you. The end result is a masterpiece but the process could be messy pieces.

God is the one working on you to become, and through you others can become. This is the life. Where you are not in your own world, but spreading love abroad in your heart. Where His plan, kingdom, and the government finds expression. The aligned Life. The Christlike Life. Being the Light of the world and the salt of the Earth.

The life where you don't judge everyone by what you think you know about them, but see beyond actions and reactions with Love. You become the empathy map of God. The life where you become the Lord's epitome of mercy, favor, goodness, and grace. People can see and experience it in and from you.

A self-centered life is vain. You have every reason to justify yourself. No one knows what you've been through. No one can know it all. You can summarise the things you have gone through into a 2-minute lecture of what you've decided to pick from it, but that is not fulfilling and you know it.

It will do no good to you especially if all you've got is the bad energy and negativity in your story. There is more in that story that has kept you till now and made you hope. Though silent, you are unconsciously waiting and longing for something beyond you.

You can decide to stay there and lick your wounds and tell yourself you'll be fine a million times. Or decide to find a physician, go through the process of healing, and come out a beauty.

You can choose to hold on to the ashes of what your past has taught you to become — a dry bone in the valley, or you can let go of the old you, the pain people have caused you, the rejections you've faced, and your stereotypical ideologies. Let them go and embrace the faithfulness of God, the beauty he wants to make out of those ashes, and the army out of your dry bones.

The glory that will be revealed in you is better than the suffering in your past. You don't have to be the victim of that pity story, you can be the eyes of the Lord to see the pain of others and the hand that raises people, the shoulders that people cry on, the model of Hope in God, the army of the Lord labeled UNDEFEATED. Helping, building, and defending the people. Embrace the Life beyond you and be a channel of HOPE.

Shalom.

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

Beyond the natural laws

Laws are laid down principles to help people to walk in certain directions. It is structured, firm, and sometimes rigid. Laws are expected to always follow the same pattern and anyone found doing differently will be accused and penalized. The scribes and Pharisees were always angry at the ways and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ because he wasn't doing the same as them yet have mind-blowing impacts better than theirs. He taught, people listened and yielded, but they force people to do it their own way (Mark 6:1-3).    They are ignorant that even though we have one big God, He is diverse in his ways and acts. No wonder people find it difficult to believe in the ways and characters of a child of God. It is a life led by the wind of God's Spirit because it's beyond the normal laws they believe in. Natural laws are principles generally accepted by people and passed down from one generation to another. We are Christians. We operate in the supernatural ...

Fear in the Process

There is an African proverb that says, "the demon you've known for a while is better than the angel you just met". As weird as this sounds, many people consciously or unconsciously act it out. This shows the hardness of people's hearts towards change. Change is constant, but it can be a very weird process and experience. The Israelites desired to go back to Egypt and continue the life of slavery and pain that they were used to than to be in the wilderness and uncertain of what the promised land looked like. Yours might not be as dramatic as the Exodus. It could be the Lord telling to you take steps about your finances by saving and sowing. Or leaving the life that is not accurate with the word and plan of God for your life. It could be for you to stop saying to yourself and others, "That's who I am and I can't change." Our change experiences are different. You know what the Lord is addressing in your life. And it may have raised questions of doubt li...
