The King Comes

Who is coming? Why is He coming? What is He coming to do? The major reason anyone would stand for anything is because they don't just know, but understand the purpose and mission of that thing.

Sometimes, I find out that I am carried away by activities that don't really matter to the reason why I joined a group or something in the first place. So, what I do to get myself back on track is that: I slow down and ask myself how I got where I am and why I started or made the decision in the first place. And by the grace of God through the help of the Holy Spirit, It works - I find my way back.

As Christians, we have been taught so many things and have been involved in so many things(which are very good) that we sometimes lose track of why we are believers in the first place. It is good to serve God and to love others as ourselves, but we must also remember to go back to the cross. Not just to receive grace and strength to do His work, but to also serve as a reminder of the reason why we must run the race and fight a good fight of Faith. It is good to work for Him, but best to walk with Him(Colossians 1:26-29).

The reason why we receive Christ Jesus into our lives is to have the hope of glory with Him. It is so surprising that a man can cast out demons, tongue talking knows the scriptures and still miss heaven(Matthew 7:22). Of course they believe in Christ Jesus, but that's because they only want to use Him and not for them to know Him intimately.

The things Jesus said will happen are now manifesting (Matthew 24:3-51). Are we ready for His coming? Indeed we've led souls to Christ, but are we sure we don't just sign boards who show the way (Jesus), but refuse to move from that spot? We know and do many things, but how often do we slow down to remember why we started? How have we grown? Are we still on track?

The goal of any athlete is to obtain a trophy, no matter how long the race is, he will never forget why he started in the first place(Hebrews 12:1). Do we still remember why we said yes to Jesus to be our Lord and savior? He told us we will see tribulations, but He said we are more than conquerors through His blood, how strong are we holding on to that? (1 Corinthians 9:24).

The kingdom of God is within us like Jesus said (Luke 17:21) and as we believe, but we must know that He's coming to gather as many people that have the kingdom of God as the highest common factor of their lives.  It is the only thing in existence that carries the greatness of both THE KING AND HIS INFLUENCE.

The moment we are born, we have the mind of the world, but the instant we are born again, we have the mind of Christ. The ways the mind of the world is nurtured by the things we perceive through our senses, so also the mind of Christ that is given to us is being renewed and transformed by the word of God(Romans 12:2), fellowship with brethren and most ultimately God Himself.

This mind of Christ makes us think like Christ which is to please the Father and to know His will. So when we say Christ in us the hope of Glory we are saying as Christ was glorified by the Father, so also am I.
Jesus is coming soon to take all saints home and to as many who have forgotten the reason for their call like the foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-12) will seek after Him with tears like Esau but will be too late(Hebrews 12:17). Christians wake up and hold fast the faith you received!

The King of kings is coming in His majesty, will you be ready when He comes?! ARE YOU READY NOW!? Brethren I'll like to see you in that glorious home Christ Jesus promised, please don't let go and He will keep you from falling. He's nearer than ever and His reward is with Him to give every man according to His works(Matthew 16:27). Don't give up, HE'LL SOON BE HERE!!!

SHALOM!!!

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

Beyond the natural laws

Laws are laid down principles to help people to walk in certain directions. It is structured, firm, and sometimes rigid. Laws are expected to always follow the same pattern and anyone found doing differently will be accused and penalized. The scribes and Pharisees were always angry at the ways and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ because he wasn't doing the same as them yet have mind-blowing impacts better than theirs. He taught, people listened and yielded, but they force people to do it their own way (Mark 6:1-3).    They are ignorant that even though we have one big God, He is diverse in his ways and acts. No wonder people find it difficult to believe in the ways and characters of a child of God. It is a life led by the wind of God's Spirit because it's beyond the normal laws they believe in. Natural laws are principles generally accepted by people and passed down from one generation to another. We are Christians. We operate in the supernatural ...

Fear in the Process

There is an African proverb that says, "the demon you've known for a while is better than the angel you just met". As weird as this sounds, many people consciously or unconsciously act it out. This shows the hardness of people's hearts towards change. Change is constant, but it can be a very weird process and experience. The Israelites desired to go back to Egypt and continue the life of slavery and pain that they were used to than to be in the wilderness and uncertain of what the promised land looked like. Yours might not be as dramatic as the Exodus. It could be the Lord telling to you take steps about your finances by saving and sowing. Or leaving the life that is not accurate with the word and plan of God for your life. It could be for you to stop saying to yourself and others, "That's who I am and I can't change." Our change experiences are different. You know what the Lord is addressing in your life. And it may have raised questions of doubt li...
