The Word That Makes.

"The words I speak to you are spirit and life"(John 6:63)- this was what Jesus Christ said Himself. It wasn't a prophets' or an angel, but the Word which was made flesh and dwelled among men.

Words are powerful tools used for so many things but the main functions are to make or mar. When the Lord God of heaven and the earth created it, He brought them all into existence with His word.

He heals, delivers, creates and destroys. It depends on the situation on the ground. He destroyed darkness by calling forth light(John 1:1-4). He destroy things because there is a better offer to the present situation. He doesn't destroy without a plan of building something better(John 2:19-22).

The words said by the Lord can be seen just like Habakkuk set to see what HE wants to say (Habakkuk 2:1). They come into existence, the word of God can be tangible and to as many, that will believe in the word, to them is life and power given. So far it's the word of the Lord, it always makes, builds and brings things into existence.

But the devil on the other hand, speaks too, but they are lies. He'll tell you things just for the purpose of destruction. He weakens by condemning which leads to death. His lies steals, kills and in the end, it destroys(John 10:10).

But thank God for Christ Jesus who is the word, way, truth, and life(John 14:6), HE IS THE WORD THAT MAKES. We as humans have a decision to make here. Who are we for? The Father of all who is true, just and faithful or the father of lies? Life or death? To build or to break? To make or mar?

Over the years people have learned how to abuse in a decent manner while others have also been taught how to encourage others. We all represent something and one of the ways to identify people is by their speech.

What we practice over and over again becomes a lifestyle sooner or later. Words are used to encourage and discouraged, to scorn and to praise. Any which way it is used, we must be conscious of what we are about to say. Is it to make or mar?

Sometimes we don't get words of encouragement from our environment as we want, thereby causing us to be depressed or lash back at people, but here is the solution. It doesn't matter what anyone says or doesn't say about you, know what the Lord says about you.

Take your time to STUDY AND STAND ON THE WORD OF GOD and dig out treasures for yourself and make you special(Joshua 1:8). All the lies the devil has told you can be counter by claiming the promises of God in CONFESSION in PRAYERS and the blood of THE LAMB of God ( Revelation 12:11).

Be strong and of good courage. Don't listen to the enemies or oppositions. You are far above them because you are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus! He is your strength against all odds and lies you've been told. His words truly make, builds and transforms.

SHALOM!!!

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

Beyond the natural laws

Laws are laid down principles to help people to walk in certain directions. It is structured, firm, and sometimes rigid. Laws are expected to always follow the same pattern and anyone found doing differently will be accused and penalized. The scribes and Pharisees were always angry at the ways and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ because he wasn't doing the same as them yet have mind-blowing impacts better than theirs. He taught, people listened and yielded, but they force people to do it their own way (Mark 6:1-3).    They are ignorant that even though we have one big God, He is diverse in his ways and acts. No wonder people find it difficult to believe in the ways and characters of a child of God. It is a life led by the wind of God's Spirit because it's beyond the normal laws they believe in. Natural laws are principles generally accepted by people and passed down from one generation to another. We are Christians. We operate in the supernatural ...

Fear in the Process

There is an African proverb that says, "the demon you've known for a while is better than the angel you just met". As weird as this sounds, many people consciously or unconsciously act it out. This shows the hardness of people's hearts towards change. Change is constant, but it can be a very weird process and experience. The Israelites desired to go back to Egypt and continue the life of slavery and pain that they were used to than to be in the wilderness and uncertain of what the promised land looked like. Yours might not be as dramatic as the Exodus. It could be the Lord telling to you take steps about your finances by saving and sowing. Or leaving the life that is not accurate with the word and plan of God for your life. It could be for you to stop saying to yourself and others, "That's who I am and I can't change." Our change experiences are different. You know what the Lord is addressing in your life. And it may have raised questions of doubt li...
