Yes, I Do...

It's an answer to the question ask if one has decided to take a wife/husband. One of the Alchemist quote says " therefore shall a man leaves his father and mother and cleave to his God, and they shall be one spirit.
It's is often said that you should properly know your spouse to be, before jumping into marriage. But we've heard stories about marriages, that people keeps exhibiting different character after a period of time. If it take years to understand a man, how much more God?
He created the heaven and the earth (His dwelling and footstool respectively). The wonder of the earth hasn't been fully understood, not to talk of the One the uses it as a footstool. Yet this God has asked our hand in marriage and some of us have told Him - YES I DO.
But when the time of change comes to align to His will. We become so uncomfortable to break our standards for His, forgetting that we are who we are in Christ by Grace. Who are we? Yet He leaves to choose His or ours decision, but we forget that He's ways are not ours (Isaiah 55:9). They are always better than ours.
We just have to align to His will if we want the best in our relationship with our maker who choose us to enjoy his mercy (Lamentations 3:22). We know this if we know Him. The most important thing in any relationship is Knowledge.
Let us seek to know the Lord and understand his ways at all time. Even Paul the apostle said " that I may KNOW HIM... "(Philippians 3:10). How much more we of this generation that needs Him that anyone ever did? He's the only one who can make us who we want to be, but before anything His will is supreme.
Let always put the Lord first (Matthew 6:10). Then our lives will be so pleasing to others and they will want to be like us. Just like when two couples get along so well that everyone gets jealous and wishes to have that kind of marriage.
The Lord wants our light to shine before men, that they may glorify the source of the light - OUR GOD (Matthew 5:16). The answer to the marriage vow is incomplete if we can't please let the Father. Seek to know the will of God always and align to it.
Those who that enjoys to be a bachelor/spinster are prone to making some bad decisions because they accumulate knowledge by things happening around them (situations, people and environment). Also those that thinks they are all they can be without God never know what they are missing without God. Come to your maker and align your will to His. He will give you the Holy spirit to help you through it all. He waits for you to decide, but I must tell you there is no better time than Now. Be on the Lord's side and prosper, seek to KNOW Him more and excel. Peace be unto you. Amen!

You Are Mary

The first Mary was not the only lady named MARY which was recorded in the Bible is found in the new testament. She was "a virgin", which means she wasn't the only one who was a virgin in her time, but she found favor with God and was chosen to bear the Holy seed of God. Mary, the highly favored, blessed among women and the Lord was with her. That was how she was seen by the Lord. Her assignment was to carry the seed of God, deliver a son, and He shall save His people, rule them and His kingdom is forever. Her question wasn't what's in it for me? It was HOW? What's the plan? The answer was the Holy Spirit will come upon you, the power of the Highest hover over you. Therefore, the child you bring to birth will be called Holy, Son of God. It's all planned by God, yours is to align. You are Mary, but whose seed are you carrying? Definitely not Christ Jesus. But what result will the seed you are carrying bring? Are you aligned to be chosen? Are you recept...

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

God's or Abraham's?

The moment the word "children" appears, what comes to mind most the time is the result or outcome of a process. Especially when the psalmist was describing children in Psalms 127:3-5. My eyes were open to seeing results as children. Definitely, children have fathers. Let not go into defining children ( you can always read my post on CHILDREN), But my concern is that sometimes we (Christians) are referred to as Abraham's offspring and at the same time, we are called the children of God. How are we children of God and also Abraham's? It is possible that we are the offspring of both God and Abraham (His friend). We are considered as Abraham's offspring when we believe (Galatians 3:6-8), because the first to exercise Faith in God was Abraham and we are called his children because we are doing exactly what he did which was counted to him as righteousness(John 8:39) - FAITH . So we (believers) are the re-produced version(children) of the Father of Faith - Abraham...
