GOD'S FATHERSHIP.

Fathership is the state of being the source of something. We've heard of titles given to people for being the one who started, created, or brought to life something. Our male parents are called fathers because they are part of our production. More than bringing forth, thee nurturing and development of the product is important to the source.
God is the prototype of everything seen and unseen. That's why those who are called His children are people of faith. Faith is defined as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen(Hebrews 11:1). Only this virtue can please God and move him to do something great.
He's the FATHER of all fathers. No matter how great the invention of a person, it can't be as wonderful as creation. Before a father, there was a father and before anyone can be called a father, God had been the Father of all. His creation has been in existence for millions of years and everything he created has the ability to procreate.
He's the fountain of all creation. He made all things and sustained them by His word( Hebrews 1:3). As the Father of all, He made man His favorite because He made Him after His likeness. In the gospel of Luke, when he was stating the genealogy of Jesus Christ, on getting to Adam the first man, he called him the son of God which made Him the first Father ( Luke 3:38).
The truth about God's fathership was fully stated when our Lord Jesus Christ was teaching His disciples how to pray. The first phase of the Lord's prayer is " our FATHER who hath in Heaven"( Matthew 6:9), settling the fact that the God we pray to is our father and we can rest assured he will answer our prayers (Matthew 7:11).
The only reason why anyone would not see God as his/her father is because he/she is faithless. God's love made grace available to us all through the death of His only begotten Son, but an individual's faith in His son makes grace sufficient to the person( Romans 5:2). Through our faith, we are made children by His Love (1John 3:1). This is the reason the world doesn't know us because it doesn't know our Heavenly Father, how can it know the children?
The state of being a child requires our faith and the gift of the father in us which is the holy spirit ( the spirit of adoption) that helps to cry Abba Father (Galatians 4:6). It isn't by works, but grace. So that no man will boost. We must believe strongly in the Lord that he knows our needs, He wants us to ask Him to receive our desires on a legal ground. The state of God being a Father is due to His love, grace, and Spirit He gave us. God bless His children. Amen! SHALOM!!!

Lesson In All Things

Learning isn't limited to a gathering of people with a tutor, but an experience that leaves a mark of influence. To learn means to gain knowledge or skill by studying, practicing, being taught or experiencing something. A lesson is a section where something is being taught and learned. It, therefore, means that there must be a teacher and a student. Life is a teacher. It teaches anyone who cares to listen and have wisdom. We are in the habit of running each day the same way and the days turn to weeks, weeks to months and later to years. We forget to pause, pay attention to life and absorb wisdom to live. Some of us have experienced but haven't gotten the lessons out of some. Wisdom is not measured by age or level of exposure or experience, but lessons got from our encounter with life. What did you learn as a child, teenager, adult, parent, businessperson, lawyer, pastor, teacher, etc? Whatever you do isn't as important as what are you learning? What will you pa...

The King Comes

Who is coming? Why is He coming? What is He coming to do? The major reason anyone would stand for anything is because they don't just know, but understand the purpose and mission of that thing.  Sometimes, I find out that I am carried away by activities that don't really matter to the reason why I joined a group or something in the first place. So, what I do to get myself back on track is that: I slow down and ask myself how I got where I am and why I started or made the decision in the first place. And by the grace of God through the help of the Holy Spirit, It works - I find my way back. As Christians, we have been taught so many things and have been involved in so many things(which are very good) that we sometimes lose track of why we are believers in the first place. It is good to serve God and to love others as ourselves, but we must also remember to go back to the cross. Not just to receive grace and strength to do His work, but to also serve as a reminder of t...

SAME GOD

A song in Yoruba (Nigeria) says " the Lord is, as the time of old, but we don't worship God like old times " . This is very true. I always wonder why there was power in the early churches, but now, we hardly see the manifestations like the ones we read about the book of Acts of the Apostles?!    Some times ago I thought that Christianity was a joke passed down to generations. We have little people in the church performing miracles, what are the other members of the church doing? Are we just smiling at situations and circumstances and say God is in control when God has bestowed power to do on us and has made us gods (psalms 82)?    We are supposed to be armies pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4) of the devil instead the church is held in captivity of the strong. The Great and Mighty God is always present but we don't seek Him for help. Where is the power of the church?! Haven't we lost it?    The fathers of old, the prophets, and t...
