THE WORD OR THE WORLD?

Words can be defined as the combination of sounds that has a meaning and it's either spoken or written. The Lord God of heaven and the earth, created everything by His word as an instrument to create the world.
The world simply means the human society- which comprise of the earth, the people and the things in it. The earth is the Lords' and the fullness thereof, the world, and they that dwell therein(Psalms 24:1). The Word Of God is the creator while the World is the creation (John 1:3).
In all things, God comes first(Genesis 1:1), but the devil tricks man (till now) through his cunning ways, and by this, the world's system was corrupted since the fall of man (Genesis 3:1-24). Ever since the man had been under the manipulation of the devil which brings about sin and produces death as a result.
God decided to find a way of reconciling man to himself. Then He sent His Son(Christ Jesus) to the world to save man (John 1:1-12) from the corrupt system and administration of the devil. He became the lamb of God who died for our sins gives us life in return and destroys the works of the devil (1John3:8).
God saved us by His word(Christ Jesus) from the corrupted system of the world and made us new creations in Himself. Only those who believe in the gospel of Christ Jesus can experience the creative power of the word(Hebrews 4:12). The word of God can be divided into two; the logos which is the written version of the word of God (the Holy Bible) and rhema- the spoken word of God through the Holy Spirit. However, this can't contradict themselves; God's Rhema can't oppose His logos.
Salvation comes through faith in the Son of God who died for our sins and faith comes through the hearing of the word of God. This separates us from the world and it hates us for that because it never knew or believed Him that saved us(John 15:18).
The world has a lot of troubles in it, and though we are in it, yet we aren't having the thinking pattern and it believe system, but what do we rely on when things seem not to be working the way we want them to when friends and families are on a different side and cause storms for you? THE WORD OF GOD OR THE WORLD? What the Lord says or what friends say? What do we stand on when trials come? The rock or the soil of erosion? ( Matthew 7:24-27).
When we are saved, we must always apply the same principle for Salvation in all we encounter- believe and say it because we are BELIEVERS. The word guides us away from sin, leads us and encourages us (Psalms 119:105), all we need is to study the bible, practice what you find in it, forget everything that is not in line with the word of God irrespective of the person who said it and believe by looking up to Jesus the author and Finisher of our faith and he will always be there for us. Don't stop believing in the WORD. He's with us ALWAYS even till the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). SHALOM!!!

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

Beyond the natural laws

Laws are laid down principles to help people to walk in certain directions. It is structured, firm, and sometimes rigid. Laws are expected to always follow the same pattern and anyone found doing differently will be accused and penalized. The scribes and Pharisees were always angry at the ways and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ because he wasn't doing the same as them yet have mind-blowing impacts better than theirs. He taught, people listened and yielded, but they force people to do it their own way (Mark 6:1-3).    They are ignorant that even though we have one big God, He is diverse in his ways and acts. No wonder people find it difficult to believe in the ways and characters of a child of God. It is a life led by the wind of God's Spirit because it's beyond the normal laws they believe in. Natural laws are principles generally accepted by people and passed down from one generation to another. We are Christians. We operate in the supernatural ...

Fear in the Process

There is an African proverb that says, "the demon you've known for a while is better than the angel you just met". As weird as this sounds, many people consciously or unconsciously act it out. This shows the hardness of people's hearts towards change. Change is constant, but it can be a very weird process and experience. The Israelites desired to go back to Egypt and continue the life of slavery and pain that they were used to than to be in the wilderness and uncertain of what the promised land looked like. Yours might not be as dramatic as the Exodus. It could be the Lord telling to you take steps about your finances by saving and sowing. Or leaving the life that is not accurate with the word and plan of God for your life. It could be for you to stop saying to yourself and others, "That's who I am and I can't change." Our change experiences are different. You know what the Lord is addressing in your life. And it may have raised questions of doubt li...
