Drop that mallet!

Criticism is the order of the day. Many people want to say something they believe is not normal. Christians criticizing other's faith because they "think" they are doing too much than expected. They not only spot how different people are, but also condemn how they pursue after heavenly goals and principles.

As a matter of fact, they make them look and feel like nerds and freaks, calling them sorts of names like the over-hyped Christians and so on forgetting that some of these people are humans too. They have emotions and thereby causing some to fall from the Christian path or make their journey/race a slow one.

One thing that we must know as Christian is we are not to condemn anyone. Christ never condemn anyone, in fact His birth, death and resurrection were never to do so, but to create a godly sorrow that works repentance towards God in the heart of men(2 Corinthians 7:10).

So if you think you are "very" righteous (than Christ Jesus) to be the judge over someone else's faith, then you need a rethink. Check your life, are there no mess in there? Those things you don't want others to know about. It could be that their lives are challenging yours to be in a good form and you have no other choice than to change. But you insist on being unbreakable and unteachable. Drop that mallet because no one made you judge over another man! (Romans 2:1)

Covering up your dirt to point fingers at other stains that aren't even there. Making them feel like they are doing the wrong thing or something is wrong with them, I must tell you that it's none of your business! Work on your own mess, clean it up and first be the standard. You can't even be the judge over yourself, how can you then judge someone else? (James 4:12)

God is judge overall! (John 5:27) And for your information, we already have a standard. He is Christ Jesus! He doesn't condemn you, and won't tolerate you pointing your fingers at His own even if he/she is a prodigal child or a lost sheep.
No matter who you were in time past, there is always an opportunity to start a new chapter, you might not be seeing it this way. There is always a chance to correct your mistakes in Christ. He loves you still and that is why He's calling your attention to this area and wants you to repent of it.

God hasn't made anyone judge over the other(Luke 12:14). Before you judge or condemn a man, make sure you've done twice what he's done once. Drop those attitudes and follow the way (the thinking pattern, behavior and response of our Lord Jesus Christ) to relate with others.

It doesn't matter what others think about you, so God pronounced you guiltless, free and justified, just go on and enjoy life on His presence and fullness, why not do the same to your brothers and sisters in the faith.

Drop that mallet, Love your neighbors. The same love that covers all. You can correct or rebuke in and with love, not judge, we can all stand strong and bold together to show the standard (Christ) to the world as a body (Church) through the help of the Holy Spirit to please the Father. God bless His church. Amen!

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

Beyond the natural laws

Laws are laid down principles to help people to walk in certain directions. It is structured, firm, and sometimes rigid. Laws are expected to always follow the same pattern and anyone found doing differently will be accused and penalized. The scribes and Pharisees were always angry at the ways and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ because he wasn't doing the same as them yet have mind-blowing impacts better than theirs. He taught, people listened and yielded, but they force people to do it their own way (Mark 6:1-3).    They are ignorant that even though we have one big God, He is diverse in his ways and acts. No wonder people find it difficult to believe in the ways and characters of a child of God. It is a life led by the wind of God's Spirit because it's beyond the normal laws they believe in. Natural laws are principles generally accepted by people and passed down from one generation to another. We are Christians. We operate in the supernatural ...

Fear in the Process

There is an African proverb that says, "the demon you've known for a while is better than the angel you just met". As weird as this sounds, many people consciously or unconsciously act it out. This shows the hardness of people's hearts towards change. Change is constant, but it can be a very weird process and experience. The Israelites desired to go back to Egypt and continue the life of slavery and pain that they were used to than to be in the wilderness and uncertain of what the promised land looked like. Yours might not be as dramatic as the Exodus. It could be the Lord telling to you take steps about your finances by saving and sowing. Or leaving the life that is not accurate with the word and plan of God for your life. It could be for you to stop saying to yourself and others, "That's who I am and I can't change." Our change experiences are different. You know what the Lord is addressing in your life. And it may have raised questions of doubt li...
