CHRISTIANITY and TRADITION.

Christianity is the way of life of some set of people having their lives patterned after the steps of Christ Jesus. Tradition is a belief or way of doing things for a very long time.
As Christians, it shouldn't be mentioned among us that we practice tradition in any way. Our way of life is totally different from whatever we use to be. I've heard people said " this is who I am and no one can change me" or "this is who we in our family"
That isn't who you are but who you chose to be! Don't support your ways by tradition, rather according to what God says concerning your act. Your act might have led you right one time in the past, but it doesn't mean that is the end to what you know.
Being a Christian is an act of dropping your old ways and constant repentance. There is always more to every revelation you have. The existence by which you understand things is another person's starting point.
The Pharisees, priests, and Sadducees didn't understand this truth. They thought all that is there in God are the law and the prophet. Not knowing there is always more, but only those that seek will find.
Christianity is about always pressing for more (Philippians 3:13-14). Leave every achievement behind and pressing to a higher calling. You must know you can't explore the whole of God, there is always more to what you know. You can't be a large scale farmer with crude tools.
When the time to upgrade comes, don't hold on to past knowledge, but let the one that can launch you into more of God and His kingdom do His job. The HOLY SPIRIT is the person who makes you understand deep things. But you must be willing and ready to.
No one who loves and enjoys being a child can grow to understand adulthood. The HOLY SPIRIT works with those that have genuinely surrendered themselves to the Lordship of Christ Jesus. If you aren't in Christ Jesus by believing in His death and resurrection, Christianity will not make sense to you. Let us focus on things before us leaving behind old ways of life and let the Holy Spirit teach you things beyond your understanding. Shalom!!!

You Are Mary

The first Mary was not the only lady named MARY which was recorded in the Bible is found in the new testament. She was "a virgin", which means she wasn't the only one who was a virgin in her time, but she found favor with God and was chosen to bear the Holy seed of God. Mary, the highly favored, blessed among women and the Lord was with her. That was how she was seen by the Lord. Her assignment was to carry the seed of God, deliver a son, and He shall save His people, rule them and His kingdom is forever. Her question wasn't what's in it for me? It was HOW? What's the plan? The answer was the Holy Spirit will come upon you, the power of the Highest hover over you. Therefore, the child you bring to birth will be called Holy, Son of God. It's all planned by God, yours is to align. You are Mary, but whose seed are you carrying? Definitely not Christ Jesus. But what result will the seed you are carrying bring? Are you aligned to be chosen? Are you recept...

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

God's or Abraham's?

The moment the word "children" appears, what comes to mind most the time is the result or outcome of a process. Especially when the psalmist was describing children in Psalms 127:3-5. My eyes were open to seeing results as children. Definitely, children have fathers. Let not go into defining children ( you can always read my post on CHILDREN), But my concern is that sometimes we (Christians) are referred to as Abraham's offspring and at the same time, we are called the children of God. How are we children of God and also Abraham's? It is possible that we are the offspring of both God and Abraham (His friend). We are considered as Abraham's offspring when we believe (Galatians 3:6-8), because the first to exercise Faith in God was Abraham and we are called his children because we are doing exactly what he did which was counted to him as righteousness(John 8:39) - FAITH . So we (believers) are the re-produced version(children) of the Father of Faith - Abraham...
