HOME

A home is defined as a family living together in one building. A family consists of the father, mother, and children. I believe that each person has an effective role to play in the bringing forth of an extraordinary change in the result we've seen over the years about what a home as turned out to be. A place to find rest, love, and encouragement in the home, but how many people get it the whole package?

As written in one of Paul apostle's epistles, in the book of Ephesians 5:22-33. He said the head of the family is to be like Christ (as the standard). So as the head of the home, he must be responsible - a person who is able to respond to the needs of the home. He must Love not by samples from parents and friends, but as the Lord Himself who gave Himself for us(sacrifice) and takes it upon Himself to meet the need of His bride(the church).

He is caring for the church, washing her with water by the word of God so that she will be presentable to the Father. I believe that a man with a full understanding of the concept and roles of a husband as that of Christ Jesus is who the holy spirit has helped.

Another post involved in those verses is the place of the wife in a home. She must be submissive, not as a slave but as the help of the head and home generally. Though situations might not make it easy to agree with, but a wife must keep her strength under control. She has power but decides not to use it. A wife is a humble personality that must always flow with the head just like the church is to Christ.

Well, as a matter of fact, we talk a lot about the message of how to be a good spouse in a marriage and so many other deep things, but how is it that we do not remember that in a home there are children too. Not just the atmosphere of the romantic feelings, but also the building of the next generation as the couple's assignment. Let's talk about the children.

Ephesians 6:1-4 talks about the relationship of the children to their parents. Children are to obey and honor their parents in the Lord - who also knows and works in the Lord. Definitely this is the combination of a standard Christian Home( a godly parent and children).

Everyone in this kind of home is a believer, but even when children do what they are expected to do, parents end up not doing their part in the aspect of not provoking them to wrath(verse 4). Children might be wrong, but try to listen to their own perspectives.  Don't always think you know them.

Parental backgrounds shouldn't be the controller of a Christ-based home. As Christian parents, it is now time to take part in the building of a great future of the world. The structuring of the future starts from the home.

Irrespective of how big the world is, the family is the cell(basic, structural, and functional unit) of it. If children from homes can't get it right, another generation is at stake. The bible says nurture and admonish them(verse 4), not abuse, and discourage them.

Some parents don't have the time for their kids. Your future is a stake! Find time to create and sustain it! Let them talk to you. Give them attention, advice, sight examples, and let them see God above all, not you as there source.

There are people who grew up as aggressive children, not because they can't be gentle but their upbringing is faulty and they are ready to pass it down to another generation. Correction isn't necessarily harsh but must achieve the reason why it is done - to correct.  You can find other ways to punish them.

I know that not all parents are the same in what they do, but only a few do the listening, care, correction, and advice all at the same time. It is better to do these than you watch them go down to the pit and get burn! Children need parents than anyone in the world. Their impact is the foundation all other people or experiences will build on.

Even though your upbringing isn't good enough, you can make it wonderful for the next generation, and with God on our side, I'm sure of a world's transformation! As a parent, it isn't too late to start encouraging your children and as for the unmarried, train yourself by appreciating people around you and Loving them as much as you love yourself. With Faith in the Lord, the help of the Holy Spirit and the perfection of the greatest Father, Grace (which is the ability to do) will be released upon you in Jesus' Name. Amen!

Wrap Ups

Endings are better than beginnings. Sticking to it is better than standing out ( Ecclesiastes 7:8; MSG). The end justifies the means and starting could be great, but there is nothing as fulfilling and satisfying as the wrapping up of a thing with strength and grace. It is better not to start anything at all than to give up halfway. If we must start a thing, then we must follow through to the end. It builds discipline, consistency, and focus. When a person sets out for a journey, the thing expected on the way can only be assumed but not accurate. Which makes the destination and finishing well a necessity for greatness and forging further. This year has been amazing and some many things were unexpected, but regardless of the emotions experienced, God is good! When we thought it was over and there was no way we will make it, He showed and made a way. The most important thing when we are wrapping up anything is Thanksgiving. It could have only been God. If only we c...

Beyond the natural laws

Laws are laid down principles to help people to walk in certain directions. It is structured, firm, and sometimes rigid. Laws are expected to always follow the same pattern and anyone found doing differently will be accused and penalized. The scribes and Pharisees were always angry at the ways and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ because he wasn't doing the same as them yet have mind-blowing impacts better than theirs. He taught, people listened and yielded, but they force people to do it their own way (Mark 6:1-3).    They are ignorant that even though we have one big God, He is diverse in his ways and acts. No wonder people find it difficult to believe in the ways and characters of a child of God. It is a life led by the wind of God's Spirit because it's beyond the normal laws they believe in. Natural laws are principles generally accepted by people and passed down from one generation to another. We are Christians. We operate in the supernatural ...

Fear in the Process

There is an African proverb that says, "the demon you've known for a while is better than the angel you just met". As weird as this sounds, many people consciously or unconsciously act it out. This shows the hardness of people's hearts towards change. Change is constant, but it can be a very weird process and experience. The Israelites desired to go back to Egypt and continue the life of slavery and pain that they were used to than to be in the wilderness and uncertain of what the promised land looked like. Yours might not be as dramatic as the Exodus. It could be the Lord telling to you take steps about your finances by saving and sowing. Or leaving the life that is not accurate with the word and plan of God for your life. It could be for you to stop saying to yourself and others, "That's who I am and I can't change." Our change experiences are different. You know what the Lord is addressing in your life. And it may have raised questions of doubt li...
