We have considered what seed means in one of the previous posts. So I will only want to bring to our notice some beautiful things that will create hope in our hearts. The purpose of this article isn't to weaken but to strengthen minds to be what is good and perfect in the eyes of the Lord.
When we are talking about incorruptible, it means undefiled and will never be in any way. This is like a strong brick that can never be broken by a Grass's stem. No matter how hard anything or anyone wants to hack and inject viruses in, it won't and can't be corrupted.
As for a seed, it means the ability for something to reproduce fruit of it kind. The two words put together means the reproduction of something that can't be corrupted. So, what is this seed that is incorruptible?
Well, It isn't a normal physical seed we are talking about, but a spiritual seed which is the WORD OF GOD. It is impossible for a drunk to talk like a gentleman. So it is impossible for the most holy incorruptible highest God to have a corruptible word in his mouth and His words are seeds.
The evidence of being born again is the active seed in us- the word of God(1peter 1:23). This seed works for various things in the life of every believer just like the holy spirit does, but anyone without his/her faith in Christ Jesus can't have this kind of seed in him/her. It will be like planting in a dessert - it's a fruitless effort.
Now, we as believers wonder why we are conscious of sin and the uncomfortable feeling that comes with it? This is because the Lord has placed in the seed to be like Him. To behave and be a pattern to His will and purpose. People of the world feel comfortable doing these things (1 John 3:9) because that's the reigning system.
No wonder they are amazed at the sudden change in the lives of believers and thinks it's impossible to be that kind of person. They castigate the showcasing of the fruit of the holy spirit because they one see things with the mindset and belief system of the world and not THE WORD And as a convert, we will want to relate with them but find it difficult. It isn't our fault, it's just that we are relating from two completely different planets- the kingdom of light and darkness (1 Peter 2:9).
We are called from where they are into a life entirely different from theirs. So we see things from different perspectives. We can't cope with sin or feel happy when we stumble or fall because we already possess the power to become Sons of God.
We recognize our actions when the holy spirit(the spirit of sonship) makes us realize how bad we have fallen and know that from the start it has been grace all along. Then we fall on grace and plead for mercy. Ask for the ability never to fall but to stand firm also through the journey.
This is not an avenue to see grace as a pass to always sin, but the ability to live the life of holiness and to be like Him that called us- God ( Romans 6:1-2). We are regenerated! So we are man different from every other creation because we have the very life of God in us, through the faith in Christ Jesus and the help of the holy spirit.
So make a decision today to join the league of enjoying life eternal through faith in the great organizer- Lord Jesus Christ, be a partaker of the great gift- Holy Spirit and let the seed(word of God) have its full course.
