What's your hope?

   Hope is when you think and want something to happen, trust or Cherish a desire with anticipation. What do you hope for? We have expectations of different kinds depending on the situation we find ourselves.
   When we hope, it should be for the unseen, it is unreasonable to hope for what you have already. And must be accompanied by patience. Hope is a gift from God, so don't think you can hope for the unseen all by yourself and all hopes must be in God. Proverb 23:18 says hope can't be cut off as far as it is in God.
    An evil man has hope but he's got no hope for the future (proverb 24:20), but Isaiah 31:17 says there is a future for your hope because we have received the righteousness of God through grace and our Faith. Don't be weary in hoping(Psalms 31:24) because in due season you will see the result.
    Only the living can hope (Ecclesiastes 9:1). No matter how important a man is, if he is dead, a pauper in the jungle who has nothing to offer the society, his family, or himself is better than the dead because he can still experience a turn around like Obed-edom(2 Samuel 6:10-12).
    When a man has the God kind of life by believing in Jesus and liberated from the power of sin and death, even though he's poor physically, he is better than a rich sinner because he's got greater hope of eternity(Luke 12:16-21). What can the rich use for the exchange of a glorious destination? Absolutely nothing.
   Hope from perseverance and character last long and produce love by the holy spirit whom the Lord gave us(Romans 5:3-5). This love takes away fear because it is perfect. It is a God kind of love given that produce a God kind of life to us by Faith in Jesus Christ.
   When a man does not know his destination in eternity, the subject of heaven and hell becomes a lie. Different ideologies are flying around to prove that they do not exist. Through the hope we have in the love of the Father who gave us his son to assure us and his spirit to lead and guide us, we know it's in existence, but do we have faith in it?
   Do you still believe in the promise of Jesus Christ? Of a place in His father's house- heaven. How much do you still believe in that place? It is real, let's not stop longing with excitement for it. We'll be there in no time. He is coming back very soon, sooner than ever. Hope for it, and be prepared. Shalom!!!

The King Comes

Who is coming? Why is He coming? What is He coming to do? The major reason anyone would stand for anything is because they don't just know, but understand the purpose and mission of that thing.  Sometimes, I find out that I am carried away by activities that don't really matter to the reason why I joined a group or something in the first place. So, what I do to get myself back on track is that: I slow down and ask myself how I got where I am and why I started or made the decision in the first place. And by the grace of God through the help of the Holy Spirit, It works - I find my way back. As Christians, we have been taught so many things and have been involved in so many things(which are very good) that we sometimes lose track of why we are believers in the first place. SAME GOD

   A song in Yoruba (Nigeria) says " the Lord is, as the time of old, but we don't worship God like old times " . This is very true. I always wonder why there was power in the early churches, but now, we hardly see the manifestations like the ones we read about the book of Acts of the Apostles?!    Some times ago I thought that Christianity was a joke passed down to generations. We have little people in the church performing miracles, what are the other members of the church doing? Are we just smiling at situations and circumstances and say God is in control when God has bestowed power to do on us and has made us gods (psalms 82)?    We are supposed to be armies pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4) of the devil instead the church is held in captivity of the strong.
