The pathway to life

Pathway is a track specially constructed for a particular use, while life is the experience of being alive. Therefore, the pathway to life means the specially constructed track for the experience of being alive.
How can one who is already living want to experience being alive? Well, just because someone is going about with his/her daily activities doesn't mean that they are alive. They might be walking corpse.
So what is the pathway to life? It will be interesting and surprising to know that DEATH is the answer. Yes, I know that Jesus is the waytruth, and the life (John 14:6). He is the way, but what way leads to Jesus.
Death in this context is the denial to be ruled by the activity of the flesh. When a thing is dead, it becomes useless. This pathway is the process of rendering the activity of the flesh useless.
We know that when a man dies, every component that was attached to his existence on earth returns back to their sources. The body to the ground, the breath of life goes back to God, but the real man created in Genesis 1:26 will live forever either in eternal life or damnation. This isn't to scare anyone, but to remind everyone of eternity.
Before eternity (life or second death), some things must be put in place by some decisions made. Leaving this world isn't the problem but where is your destination? What part of eternity?
The decision made here on earth determines your destination. The way to life is narrow and the gate is small (Matthew 7:14), it takes those that are willing to go and search for it that will find it. Finding it is the process of experiencing death.
It takes a renewed mind to get into the gate. This means the activities of this world through the flesh are meaningless to Him. He must first believe in the death of the Son of God- Jesus Christ and accept as savior and Lord over his life. This is salvation and the access to go through the small gate.
This small gate is the entrance to righteousness, peace, and joy which is the kingdom of God (Romans 14:17). It is small because every excess baggage must be dropped. Everything that wasn't so from the beginning must be removed for an experience beyond imagination.
But the first thing is to die to worldly desire which are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and pride of life (1 John 2:16). These are what kills, not just in this world, but also in eternity. Don't be scared because there's a way out which can be found in Christ Jesus if you can just believe.
All that is needed for a living can be found in the gate, but only those that seek can find. Seeking and striving to do His will is the process for the death required for an eternal life (Matthew 6:33). Jesus promised those that lose their lives for his sake of finding it meaning if you are willing to be mine, you will get what you have lost in multiple folds which means restoration is certain (Matthew 10:39).
Only the Holy Spirit helps in the successful pulling off of the old man and becoming a new creation. This is a part of God's love towards mankind for a restoration beyond reasoning. Your faith is the only requirement.
Nothing can be compared to what He's given to us and all He needs is our trust in Him to do all things and the willingness of our heart to reciprocate and He will show and guide you through the pathway to life. SHALOM!!!

Lesson In All Things

Learning isn't limited to a gathering of people with a tutor, but an experience that leaves a mark of influence. To learn means to gain knowledge or skill by studying, practicing, being taught or experiencing something. A lesson is a section where something is being taught and learned. It, therefore, means that there must be a teacher and a student. Life is a teacher. It teaches anyone who cares to listen and have wisdom. We are in the habit of running each day the same way and the days turn to weeks, weeks to months and later to years. We forget to pause, pay attention to life and absorb wisdom to live. Some of us have experienced but haven't gotten the lessons out of some. Wisdom is not measured by age or level of exposure or experience, but lessons got from our encounter with life. What did you learn as a child, teenager, adult, parent, businessperson, lawyer, pastor, teacher, etc? Whatever you do isn't as important as what are you learning? What will you pa...

The King Comes

Who is coming? Why is He coming? What is He coming to do? The major reason anyone would stand for anything is because they don't just know, but understand the purpose and mission of that thing.  Sometimes, I find out that I am carried away by activities that don't really matter to the reason why I joined a group or something in the first place. So, what I do to get myself back on track is that: I slow down and ask myself how I got where I am and why I started or made the decision in the first place. And by the grace of God through the help of the Holy Spirit, It works - I find my way back. As Christians, we have been taught so many things and have been involved in so many things(which are very good) that we sometimes lose track of why we are believers in the first place. It is good to serve God and to love others as ourselves, but we must also remember to go back to the cross. Not just to receive grace and strength to do His work, but to also serve as a reminder of t...

SAME GOD

A song in Yoruba (Nigeria) says " the Lord is, as the time of old, but we don't worship God like old times " . This is very true. I always wonder why there was power in the early churches, but now, we hardly see the manifestations like the ones we read about the book of Acts of the Apostles?!    Some times ago I thought that Christianity was a joke passed down to generations. We have little people in the church performing miracles, what are the other members of the church doing? Are we just smiling at situations and circumstances and say God is in control when God has bestowed power to do on us and has made us gods (psalms 82)?    We are supposed to be armies pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4) of the devil instead the church is held in captivity of the strong. The Great and Mighty God is always present but we don't seek Him for help. Where is the power of the church?! Haven't we lost it?    The fathers of old, the prophets, and t...
